Wire rod is one of the most essential raw materials in Sri Lanka’s construction sector, widely used for reinforcing ties, welded mesh, hooks, small building components, and cold-drawing applications. Local processors, however, often encounter unstable tensile strength and wire breakage during drawing.

We supplied 4×40HQ containers of Wire Rod (diameter 5.5 / 6 / 8 mm) following strict tensile-strength testing to ensure suitability for downstream fabrication.

Applications included:

Welded wire mesh production
Rebar tying and construction links
Hook manufacturing
Cold-drawing for fine wire products

Manufacturers reported smooth drawing without breakage, excellent straightening results, and clean surfaces ideal for welding. The upgraded material quality helped the customer undertake two major residential building projects during peak season.
